Accounting + Advisory Services Associate

Innovative accounting firm Dugan + Lopatka CPAs is seeking an Accounting + Advisory Services Associate. In this role, you will work with the Accounting + Advisory Services department to provide business clients with actionable insights into their business operations using timely and reliable data.

The ideal candidate has current or recent experience working in accounting, and motivation to grow their career and learn new things.

Responsibilities

  • Perform compilation and review engagements.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare business tax returns and opportunities to provide tax planning services to business clients.
  • Prepare payroll and sales tax returns.
  • Perform controller responsibilities for business and nonprofit clients as part of our outsourced accounting services. Additional outsourced accounting services to be performed include bill paying, payroll, financial statement preparation, budgeting, grant reporting, review and discuss financials with clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (required)
  • CPA eligibility (preferred)
  • 2+ years of current or recent accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Motivation to grow your career and learn new things
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
