  • ABOUT MARK

    Mark Schultz is a principal in Dugan & Lopatka’s Audit & Review Department where he oversees the audit and review practice of the firm for clients in industries as wide-ranging as manufacturing, distribution, construction, professional services, and non-profit organizations.

    He concentrates his practice in the overseeing of ERISA audits and performs many CPA firm peer review engagements each year.

  • PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

    Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) where he previously served for three years as a member of their Peer Review Committee, three years as chair of their Education Committee, and three years as a member of the Technical Issues Committee of the Private Practice Section.

    Mark is also a longstanding member of the Illinois CPA Society where he served for three years as a member of its board of directors, including serving as Audit Committee chair.  He is a nearly three decade member of its Peer Review Committee, where he also previously serviced as Committee chair.

    He served for many years as a board member for Inpact Audit, a global association of independent international accounting firms that perform audits of financial statements that are or may be used across national borders.

  • COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

    Mark was actively involved in the Naperville Heritage YMCA, where he served as a member of its board of directors and served as its treasurer for 15 years.  He also previously served as a member of the board of directors of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce.

    • Mark served as a panelist for the Daily Herald Business Ledger newspapers’s Newsmaker’s Forum on Manufacturing.
  • EDUCATION
    • Masters of Business Administration, Northern Illinois University (1983).
    • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Illinois Wesleyan University (1977).
    • Licensed Certified Public Accountant in the States of Illinois and Hawaii.
  • HOBBIES & PERSONAL INTERESTS

    In his free time, Mark enjoys golf, biking and travelling.
