Illinois Attorney General Rolls Out Electronic Filing for Annual Reports

The Illinois Attorney General has rolled out an online filing system. Charitable organizations will be required to use this system for all their filings.

Each charitable organization must create their own account. Once the account is established, Dugan + Lopatka will provide clients with the information necessary for the charitable organization to complete the online Form AG990-IL, including uploading the Federal tax return and audited/reviewed financial statements, if applicable.

Charitable organizations will be required to use the online portal to:

  • File annual reports
  • Pay fees securely online
  • Register new charitable entities and submit re-registrations
  • Request extensions
  • Manage filings

For more information, visit the Illinois Attorney General Charitable Trust Online Filing System and be sure to view their user guide.
